Quarantine Chic. 11 Different Ways.

 In Interviews

Stay Home. Stay Safe. Stay Stylish.

What crazy times we are in. Every morning I’m grateful to be healthy. Grateful for the health of my children, my friends, family….and grateful that all of you are getting through this!

Then I open up my closet to get dressed and it’s like……well I could just wear leggings and a t-shirt today because nobody is going to see me.

Oh wait a second. I have a Zoom meeting at noon. I need to look pulled together…at least on top.

So I thought to myself, what is everyone else wearing around the house these days?

I went ahead and asked a few of my lady friends for their favorite “quarantine chic” looks. And I’m kind of loving all of it. From super-stylish jammies to comfy jeans paired with unstructured sweaters, these hot mamas really know how to WERK IT!

I’ll start with my crazy outfit first.

SEX & THE CITY WITH A SIDE OF DENIM

That’s my “Mr. Big and Carrie” t-shirt with my favorite pair of jeans by Hidden, from Mixology in Closter. Thank you to my stylist extraordinaire Robin for helping me to pick these out! And thank you to my dear friend Christina for giving me that t-shirt! I’ll always treasure it. I completed my look with my pink furries by Lust For Life Shoes because they make me feel all jazzy walking around the house (I got them when I walked the runway for AnaOno during #NYFW). During my last official trip to the supermarket I had to pick up the Rolling Stone “Prince” special edition. I simply couldn’t refuse when I was on line at check out.

I had SO MUCH FUN asking everyone for their quarantine-chic selfies. See below for all of their amazing looks! Thank you to all of my willing participants…I’m feeling VERY inspired now.

SPECIAL DELIVERY

“I’ve been trying to wear what I normally do, it just makes me feel better these days. The outfit with the skirt I wear to do my wine deliveries. The denim look I love to wear when I’m working at my winery.” – “Susan Sullivan Danenberger, @stilletosinthevineyard and Founder of @dfvwines

Susan’s shoes are by Katy Perry Collections , her skirt is by Hybrid on Amazon and her  “Alexa, Bring Me My Wine” top is by Faire.

LAYERS & LIPSTICK

“My advice is… layers and lipstick! Stick to the basics, but glam it up by putting on a bright lip and throwing on a cute blazer when you need to jump on a video call. This way, you’ll still look your best!” – Kim Angell @kimangell82

Kim’s bodysuit and fly button jeans are both by Dynamite.

Here are two looks from fashionista Caylei Vogelzang. One I like to call “business and pleasure,” and the other is a full on “Sporty Spice” look which totally makes me want to workout!
BUSINESS & PLEASURE
“Comfort is really important during quarantine, but so is making sure that you are presentable for all of those zoom meetings. I like to start with a good base~leggings, a tank top, and shoes with a touch of flare (I love these from Valentino). Depending on the occasion, I will throw on a blazer & scarf for meetings, or a hat and scarf, which can double as a mask for a quick jaunt outside.”- Caylei Vogelzang, Editor-In-Chief of Cancer Wellness Magazine @cancerwellmag
Caylei’s hat is by Bogner, her scarf by Hermès, leggings by Spanx, Jacket by Smart Wool.

SPORTY SPICE

“Wellness is the ultimate chic. During this precarious time, I have found regular exercise to be very grounding and soothing. While exercising, I like wearing compression tights like these from 2XU as they are designed to promote blood flow and oxygen absorption. Flattering fits and bright colors help keep me excited and motivated.”

WATER BABY

“Putting together an outfit and getting dressed for the day helps me feel more put-together and motivated! Don’t worry! Comfy clothes are still included! My favorite look is this cute green crop top paired with matching lounge shorts from Aerie. Comfy, stylish, and perfect for those of us in a warmer climate. I’ve been spending my days here in Orlando, FL reading and writing by the pool!  – @brittneybeadle

Brittney’s outfit is by Aerie.

CHILLING IN THE HOOD

“During my social distancing I have put a strong focus on my fitness routine, I want to wear something comfortable yet stylish.  My two go-to pieces are definitely my Lululemon Align II leggings  and of course my Thrivegang sweatshirt.   – Kelly Thomas @talkischeapxo

CASUAL CHIC

“The best way to be stylish under quarantine is to continue to wear the same pieces, as you would if you were to leave the house. I usually get up and dress up like I normally do, and that helps me feel productive and good about myself.” – Rach DiMare @rdulay

Rachel is wearing an Asos sweater and Madewell wide leg pants.

PAJAMA PARTY

“You might not think of pajamas as chic, but the truth is a good pair of yummy pajamas is like wearing a big hug. Who doesn’t need a big hug right now?” – @jenrozenbaum

Jen’s pajamas are by PJ Salvage.

EASY BREEZY

“Trying to stay fashionable during this crazy time has honestly gone out the window most days. However, my clothes miss me, and I feel it obligatory to make them feel better every few days. I am not getting too dressed up, but just throwing on a cute sweater, jeans, and real shoes make me feel better for a little while. Hope you all are staying healthy and well!” – Cathy Williamson @themiddlepageblog
