Put A Ring On It.
Ahhhhh what I love most about what I do are the amazing people that I meet. Introducing Sergio Andres Mendoza, founder of Pharaoun (am-aaaazing cocktail rings). He is one of the loveliest souls that I’ve ever met and so far we’ve only had a chat on the phone. I do hope to visit him in Miami one of these days, that would be SO COOL!
Here’s Sergio in a recent issue of Ocean Drive magazine. Great story, definitely take a look. Just click here.
Sergio lost his wife to metastatic breast cancer just two years ago. He founded the jewelry brand as a tribute to her, as well as his late sister. I must admit that these are some of the most gorgeous cocktail rings that I’ve ever seen. Ever. Here are a few words from the designer himself:
“I used to think that my legacy would be making the world more beautiful and more elegant, but I have found my true goal:
I want you to feel stronger, more beautiful, and more independent when you wear my ring and be a better version of yourself.
If my rings help you feel this way, I am certain that you will accomplish more, and you will do great things. This version of yourself is my goal, and my contribution to your actions is my desired legacy. I want to help you be a more effective version of yourself, and I am excited to see what you will accomplish.
Even though I designed each of these rings, I am not going to pick one for you. I am here to guide you and help you find the one that is right for you.
My hope is that you fall in love with one of my rings, not because of its design, but because it represents a part of you that you love.
Maybe it reflects a part of you that you don’t see often but want to be reminded of. Maybe it is your greatest strength. Maybe it is the person you want to be.
I want you to find a ring that symbolizes a version of yourself that you love.”
Here’s my exclusive Q&A with my new friend Sergio:
Q. Do you have a favorite ring?
A. Every woman is different, every hand is different. For me, it’s not about which one is the prettiest. It’s about finding yourself in one of the rings. For me, cocktail rings are not about anyone except the woman and her relationship with herself.
Q. What do you love most about what you do?
A. Honoring women has become a personal mission for me. I want women to feel they deserve to be honored. That she’s a priority. To me, a woman that is a professional during the day, a Mom….and then sexy at the end of a busy day….to me that’s amazing!
Q. How did you come up with the name Pharaoun?
A. Pharaoun was a powerful name that I came across from history. I love the Egyptians and it has an enigma.
Sergio’s wife Sarah died from metastatic breast cancer, and he designed a cocktail ring specifically to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and its mission: to fund the research that will eradicate this disease once and for all. The ring is named after his daughter Anaïs (don’t you just love that name?). Shown here. Yes, the ridiculously beautiful pink one. Sergio is donating 100% of the purchase price of this ring to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (bcrf.org). This special ring is available year-round. Can you say….wow?!
Oh, one last thing. Making a purchase from Pharaoun is dreamy. Like super duper easy. A cocktail ring can be worn on any finger, so just to be safe you can order a ring sizer. It’s actually a really nice thing to have! And then you don’t have to worry about ordering the wrong size….
